Greetings everyone! My name is Traci Yoshiyama and I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii, where I spent 17 years of my life. I moved to Oahu in 2002 to pursue a nursing degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Instead I discovered a passion in the field of education. I graduated from UH Manoa in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education and a
dream to travel the world, educate children from across the globe, and experience a cultural adventure I would never forget. Shortly after graduating I moved to Los Angeles to be with my now-husband and in August 2008 we embarked on our journey to the Czech Republic. We quickly settled into the
small town of Plana, where we have been teaching English for a year. Although my time in Europe has been an extraordinary and awe-inspiring experience; my desire to work and live in Africa has not dissipated. I am now working my way towards achieving my life-long endeavor of bringing education to the children of Africa, helping them thrive in their own culture, and expanding my cultural experiences as an educator.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and learn more about my cause. I will be posting updates on my pre-departure plans and job assignment details. If you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to email me at traciyoshiyama@gmail.com.
